Palestine/Israel: second version blue colored emblem pin of the [Tel Aviv] 'Mishmar Ezrachi' ('Civil Guard') circa. mid-late 1940s; not maker-marked; 3g. The second design removed all reference to TLV, which established this force, and would date to period where it was subordinated to the 'Haganah'. During this time, the Guard was tasked mostly with civil air-defence work. Being un-uniformed, this badge was worn on civilian clothes or on a hat. As shown in the accompanying photo, this was the design of the emblem when the Guard was involved in protecting the Tel Aviv Museum on the day of the Declaration of Independence.
