Est. 1924 as youth wing of the pre-State Communist Party; originally Zionist-oriented w/many Jewish members, and from 1949-67 associated with Kibbutz Yad Hanna & supporting a Gadna pre-military youth unit. Emblem has since removed the Israeli flag & since 1967 is a non-Zionist/anti-Zionist organization.
