May date to 1954, when an official celebration of 10 years to the founding of the Jewish Brigade took place and a commemorative book with this emblem on the cover, incl. opening presentation by the Prime Minister (Moshe Sharett), was published. Approx. 32,000 Palestinian Jews served in the British forces during the war.
