British Red Cross "Postal Message Scheme" form (12.11.41 ed) ex HAIFA to TARNOW "Occupied Poland", inquiring about condition of sender's parents; passed H17 censor in Haifa (Sach-Q23, 1 month before his EKD of use); f/s 31 DEC 1941 transit at IRC in GENEVA & forwarded to Polish Red Cross & received in WARSAW 13 MARZ 1942 (f/s); answered in Ger. m/s on back "We are all healthy, best regards" 27 IV 1942; received back by IRC Geneva 24 JUIN 1942 (b/s) who forwarded it back to Br. RC in J'LEM, f/s using "3m Postage Paid" dater 21 AU 42, here passed J18 censor (Sach-Q21b h/s 3 months after his LKD of use) & arrived same day in HAIFA, where passed KK/26 censor (Sach-Q29, 4 months before his EKD of use). 8 month round-trip transit time, reasonable for surface mail; first major act of extermination in Tarnow began June 1942; locale "Jew free" by late 1943.
